SmartFusion 2 SOC FPGA Family

The SmartFusion 2 family of SoC FPGAs from Microchip is a highly integrated and secure range of devices designed for a variety of applications, including industrial control systems, medical equipment, and aerospace systems. These devices combine a low-power FPGA fabric with a hardened ARM Cortex-M3 or Cortex-M4F microprocessor subsystem, providing designers with a high level of flexibility and processing power. The FPGA fabric in the SmartFusion 2 family features up to 500k logic elements, up to 5.8 Mb of embedded memory, and up to 960 DSP slices, making it highly customizable and ideal for applications that require high-speed processing.

The SmartFusion 2 family of SoC FPGAs also features a range of advanced security features, including secure boot capabilities, physical security features such as tamper detection and protection, and a range of cryptographic functions, including AES encryption and RSA authentication. In addition to security, the SmartFusion 2 family of SoC FPGAs offers low power consumption, with some devices featuring standby power as low as 82 mW, making them ideal for applications that require low power consumption.
